The incident was reported just after noon on Saturday at Dorchester Bay. DeWayne Lehman of UMass Boston told WBZ-TV's Chantee Lans a jogger along Harbor Walk Road saw the car in the water.

He added that Harbor Walk is a popular coastal walkway that joggers and walkers use on a regular basis.

Massachusetts State Police said it appears the car drove through a chain-link fence and into the water, where it became partially submerged.

The man's death isn't considered suspicious and is being investigated as a non-homicide, according to the Suffolk District Attorney's Office. Officials haven't identified the man.

State Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

No additional details were immediately available.
