Chicopee Police Find Plastic Cup Full Of Heroin Bundles

CHICOPEE (CBS) -- Police are investigating after they found a plastic beverage cup filled with bundles of heroin on Montgomery Street.

"If you happen to be the owner of this cup full of Heroin bundles, you can contact our detectives to claim ownership," the Chicopee Police Department wrote on its Facebook page. 

Despite the department's "lost and found" post, they stressed that this was "an extremely dangerous find."

The cup was found after a passerby reported it to police. Chicopee Police said the find was a perfect example of why they repeat the phrase "see something, say something."

"Thankfully this did not fall into the hands of some innocent kids happening upon it," Chicopee Police wrote. "This is why we always encourage you to report things you see so it can be checked on."
