70-Year-Old Man Found Shot To Death In Wareham

WAREHAM (CBS) -- Wareham and Massachusetts State Police are investigating the death of an elderly man found shot in his home Tuesday.

Police went to a Glenn Charley Road home to fulfill a request for a well-being check around noon Tuesday. They found a man later identified as John Williams, 70, of Wareham, unresponsive and bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police are investigating it as a suspicious death and said there doesn't appear to be any threat to the public at this time.

The investigation is still underway, and police said they are awaiting autopsy results to find out the exact manner and cause of Williams' death.
