Hydrochloric Acid On FedEx Truck Leaks Near Kenmore Square
BOSTON (CBS) -- Firefighters were on the scene of a hazmat incident on Beacon Street near Kenmore Square Tuesday evening.
Fire officials say a FedEx truck carrying a box with a bottle of hydrochloric acid leaked.
Boston University alerted its staff and students to remain indoors and avoid the area.
Hazmat crews used a neutralizing agent on the spill and the bottle before it was removed from the area.
The scene was cleared shortly after 6:00 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
