Peyton Manning Tells Bill Belichick 'This Might Be My Last Rodeo' [VIDEO]

BOSTON (CBS) -- Peyton Manning's imminent retirement was debated all season, but now it might be a reality. The NFL Network aired part of the quarterback's postgame conversation with Bill Belichick after the Broncos beat the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game when he dropped a strong hint that Super Bowl 50 could be Manning's last NFL game.
"Hey, listen ... This might be my last rodeo, so it sure has been a pleasure," Manning said to Belichick as cameras and microphones swarmed the pair. It's unclear if Manning was mic'd up or knew his words were being picked up by a microphone, but nonetheless he has given the strongest evidence yet that this is indeed his final season in the league.
Manning's critics will not be shocked by this. His arm has clearly deteriorated, but he's still one of the smartest QBs in league history, and he has done just enough to help the Broncos win two playoff games and head to Santa Clara to face the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50.
Many of Manning's supporters, however, may be saddened, or even stunned, by his revelation. But they also might like the idea of No. 18 snagging another Super Bowl ring and going out on top of the league. It would be a huge boost to a season marred by injuries and very un-Manning-like performance.
Still wondering if Manning will try to come back for one more year with a new team? The end is near regardless, but Manning himself suggests it could be in two weeks.
