The Dolphins Hired Extra Help To Guard Their Equipment In Foxboro

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Patriots spent an entire offseason under fire for allegedly tampering with their own equipment. Now opposing teams are paranoid that the Patriots are messing with theirs.

According to a report by the Miami Herald, "multiple sources" say that when the Dolphins traveled to Foxboro in October they hired extra staff to take "extra precautions" against potential tampering with their equipment. The report asserts that it was not a coincidence that the Dolphins went to Gillette with more staff than usual for a road game.

The report went on to detail all of the other paranoia-bred measures taken by teams when they travel to Gillette Stadium, and of course, the silly headset controversy that happened as soon as the 2015 season kicked off.

As is tradition, the Dolphins ultimately defeated themselves in focusing too much on what the Patriots may or may not be doing and not worrying enough about their own team. The Patriots rolled 36-7 in the Thursday Night Football matchup, and no football tampering took place - because you know what would have happened if it did.
