Cam Neely On Felger & Mazz: Bruins Level Of Play 'Not Where It Needs To Be'
BOSTON (CBS) -- Bruins president Cam Neely was not shy about his feelings on the team's performance in Wednesday's shootout loss to the Edmonton Oilers. Despite almost playing well enough to win, it was a largely uninspiring effort from a team whose level of play is "not where it needs to be to win games in this league," Neely said.
Neely credited Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask for keeping the Bruins in the game while the Oilers out-worked them for most of the 60 minutes.
"[Edmonton's] goalie played well - fortunately Tuukka did for us," he said, "but the compete level wasn't there like it should have been."
Neely also touched upon the downward trend of goal-scoring in the league, and how it doesn't relate only to goalie pads, but players' sticks as well. They finished up talking about the upcoming Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium, and whether he wants it to snow.
