Bruins' Alex Khokhlachev 'Likely' To Miss 4-6 Weeks After Hand Surgery

BOSTON (CBS) -- Just days after the Boston Bruins sent him down to the AHL team in Providence, winger Alex Khokhlachev is "likely" to miss 4-to-6 weeks after undergoing hand surgery on Tuesday, according to Mark Divver of the Providence Journal.
Khokhlachev suffered a hand injury Saturday in a Providence Bruins contest with the Vancouver Canucks affiliate Utica Comets and was forced to sit out the third period, according to Stanley Cup of Chowder. The Bruins reassigned him to Providence the day before to call up Frank Vatrano.
In other news on the Bruins injury front, David Pastrnak missed Tuesday's practice as he continues to recover from a foot injury that has kept him out for the past four games. Coach Claude Julien said Pastrnak is still not ready to skate.
Khokhlachev had a brief two-game stint with the Boston Bruins and posted just three shots on goal and a -1 rating.
