Patriots Activate Bryan Stork From Short-Term IR

BOSTON (CBS) – The New England offensive line is getting a boost, though it isn't all good news for the Patriots.

The Patriots activated Bryan Stork from short-term injured reserve on Saturday, the team announced.

The bad news, however, is fellow offensive lineman Ryan Wendell was placed on injured reserve, ending his season.

Stork has not yet played this season after dealing with reported concussion and neck injuries in training camp. He was placed on short-term injured reserve, meaning he could begin practicing in Week 6.

Wendell was listed in Friday's injury report as a limited participant in practice with a knee injury, though his status was officially "doubtful."

He had been inactive for the first several games of the Patriots season recovering from offseason surgery, then missed more time with what the team called an illness.

Wendell played sparingly against the Jets and Dolphins.
