Sheard, Cannon, Jackson All Absent From Patriots Practice For Second Straight Day

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Patriots are likely to be a little light on the lines this Sunday against Washington, after a trio of players missed practice for a second straight day on Thursday.

Offensive linemen Marcus Cannon (toe) and Tre' Jackson (knee) as well as defensive lineman Jabaal Sheard (ankle) did not practice in Thursday's session. Safety Duron Harmon also missed practice, but it was due to the birth of his child.

Given that Cannon, Jackson and Sheard have missed both Wednesday's and Thursday's practices, it's likely they won't be playing come Sunday. For Sheard, that'll be the third straight game missed.

There were no other changes to the Patriots' practice report from the day prior, which means Julian Edelman (knee), Dion Lewis (abdomen), Shaq Mason (knee), Ryan Wendell (knee) and Keshawn Martin (hamstring) were all limited.

For the Redskins, cornerback Bashaud Breeland, defensive end Jason Hatcher and tight end Anthony McCoy returned to practice after missing Wednesday's session. Linebacker Keenan Robinson was added to the report with a rib/abdomen injury that kept him from practicing, and cornerback Quinton Dunbar was added to the report with an illness that kept him off the practice field.

Cornerbacks Chris Culliver (knee) and DeAngelo Hall (toe) were limited in practice for a second straight day, and the same goes for receiver DeSean Jackson (hamstring).
