BOSTON (CBS) -- Fire officials say improper disposal of smoking materials likely caused a fire that broke out Sunday evening at a housing complex for the elderly and disabled in South Boston.
The 2-alarm fire was contained to an apartment on the fourth floor of the Monsignor Powers housing complex on L Street.
Two residents were taken to the hospital. One firefighter was treated for cuts to the hand.
The incident remains under investigation.
