Julian Edelman Posts Perfect Patriots - 'Star Wars' Mashup With 'StarPats' Poster

BOSTON (CBS) -- I have a bit of a man-crush on Julian Edelman, so pardon my gushing here. No. 11 likes to goof around on social media, so it's no surprise that he hopped aboard the hype train for Star Wars: The Force Awakens with this incredible "#StarPats" faux-poster.
As an admitted fanboy of both Edelman and Star Wars, this made me swoon:
The poster features Edelman as new female lead Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, Tom Brady as Han Solo, Gronk as Chewbacca, Jamie Collins as the new male lead Finn, played by John Boyega, and of course, Bill Belichick as the evil maybe-not-literally-a-sith-but-basically-a-sith Kylo Ren.
The Force Awakens, directed by J.J. Abrams, is a bridge between the original generation of Star Wars characters and the new batch of heroes and villains. The final (I think) trailer for the movie, which you can watch above, premiered during halftime of Monday Night Football last night then immediately went online. Edelman posted the hilarious poster shortly after with the message #StarPats.
It's unclear who made the graphic, but whoever did put together a masterful Photoshop job here. Perfect choices for character parallels, perfect technical application. Perfect.
Not only is Edelman a tremendous receiver and social media master, he's also apparently a Star Wars nerd. Guy can't get more awesome.
