Maine Ski Resort Holds Annual Wife Carrying Championship
NEWRY, Maine (CBS) – Husbands and wives may argue over who carries all the weight in their household duties. But Saturday at Sunday River ski resort in Maine there was no doubt who was carrying the load.
Sunday River hosted the 16th annual North American Wife Carrying Championship as 50 couples tested their strength a 278-yard obstacle course.
The event was part of the ski resort's fall festival, which runs through Sunday.
Fall Festival also includes parties, a Cornhole championship and other activities.
