'Enforcer' Tom Brady Volunteers His Services To Boston Bruins

BOSTON (CBS) -- Tom Brady's having such an easy time dominating the NFL, he's apparently ready to try to take on the NHL.

Though the Patriots are getting back into action this week after a bye last week, the quarterback carved out some time to offer a message of support to the Bruins on Thursday, hours before their 2015-16 season begins at the TD Garden.

"Good luck to the Bruins this year!" Brady wrote on his Facebook page. "Let me know if you need another enforcer out there ... "

(Hey, the Bruins are a little thin on defense this year. Brady is pretty big at 6-foot-5,  225 pounds. Might be worth a shot, Don Sweeney.)

In the accompanying photo, a high-five seeking Brady was plopped right between former Bruins fourth-liners Shawn Thornton and Gregory Campbell.

Brady might not be able to score a goal in the NHL, but considering the abundance of high-fives on the ice, it might be the perfect sport for him.

Good luck to the Bruins this year! Let me know if you need another enforcer out there...

The quarterback's previous Facebook post showed him preparing for the Cowboys, who will host the Patriots this Sunday afternoon. But he's found at least a couple of minutes to take a break from that preparation to show some support for the Bruins.
