Boston Police K-9 Finally Grows Into Oversized Vest

BOSTON (CBS) – Tuco is no longer known only as the police dog with the oversized vest. The Boston Police Department K-9 is moving up in the ranks, and growing into his vest.

The Boston Police K-9 Unit posted an updated photo this week nearly a year after a picture of its youngest four-legged officer wearing an oversized department-issued vest went viral.

Tuco the Internet sensation is now 1.5 years old and fits perfectly into his vest.

Initially known as Batman, Tuco is currently in his fourth week of the Boston Police Department's K-9 Academy Fall Patrol Class.

Though the dog's trainer told WBZ-TV last year that Tuco was named after a character from the television show "Breaking Bad," he added thatit was only because of the sound of the name, not what the character represents on the show.
