Julian Edelman Spends Bye Week At Kent State Homecoming

BOSTON (CBS) – New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman spent part of the team's bye week going back to school.

Edelman returned to his alma mater Kent State University to serve as the grand marshal of the school's homecoming parade on Saturday.

The former quarterback spoke to the team Friday night in advance of the team's tilt with Miami of Ohio.

Edelman was also was set to receive his Kent State Hall of Fame plaque this weekend.

In addition to Edelman, the 2015 Hall of Fame class includes current Alabama head coach Nick Saban.

New England next takes the field against the Cowboys in Dallas on October 11.
