LYNN (CBS) - The death of a four-month-old boy in Lynn last weekend is under investigation, the Essex District Attorney's Office said Thursday.

Police and EMS were called to a shelter on Western Avenue around 7 p.m. Saturday for a report of "unresponsive baby."

The boy was rushed to North Shore Children's Hospital and then later taken to Massachusetts General Hospital on a MedFlight rescue helicopter.

"He was pronounced dead on Sunday at approximately 5:00 pm," Essex D.A. spokeswoman Carrie Kimball Monahan said in a statement.

"At this time, no charges have been filed in connection with this death."

The boy's name has not been made public.
