Knife-Wielding Man Allegedly Robs NH Convenience Store

MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) -- Police are looking for a knife-wielding man who allegedly robbed a Manchester, New Hampshire convenience store on Saturday night.

The armed robbery occurred at Crosstown Variety on Armory Street around 9:25 p.m. The clerk told police the man entered the store and asked for a pack of cigarettes. When he tried to hand it to him, the man pulled out a large knife and demanded cash from the cash register, police say.

The clerk complied and gave him an undisclosed amount of cash. The man didn't make additional threats before leaving the store, police said.

Both the clerk and the store owner reviewed surveillance video and believe the man responsible for the robbery may have been in the store less than an hour before the robbery.

On Monday afternoon, police released surveillance images in the hope that someone may be able to identify the suspect.
