Donny Osmond Gets Voice Back Thanks To Boston Surgeon

BOSTON (CBS) -- Donny Osmond is singing again after undergoing vocal surgery performed by a notable Boston doctor.

Osmond tweeted Monday morning that after three weeks of silence, he was back in Boston for a consultation with Dr. Steven Zeitels of Massachusetts General Hospital.

Later in the morning, he posted a video on Facebook of himself singing for the first time since the operation.

The most recognizable voices in the world have been operated on by Dr. Zeitels. He mostly works on cancer patients, but the stars he's treated over the years include Julie Andrews, Cher, Steven Tyler, Roger Daltrey, Adele and Sam Smith.

Osmond says he's hoping to be ready to sing for a Las Vegas performance in late September with his sister Marie.
