Newburyport Mother, Grandmother Held On $20,000 Bail In House Of Squalor Case
NEWBURYPORT (CBS) -- Two women wanted on criminal charges after allegedly raising a child in squalor in Newburyport were arraigned Friday.
Kristen Pacquette, 32, and her mother Debra Pacquette, 54, were facing charges of reckless endangerment of a child when they failed to appear in court Tuesday.
They were later found and arrested in New York City late Wednesday night.
Their court-appointed lawyer said in court Friday the pair did not receive their court notice because they had been evicted from the home.
They were ordered held on $200,000 surety and $20,000 cash bail.
