Buses Replace Trains At Two Red Line Stations

BOSTON (CBS) – Buses will replace trains between a pair of Red Line stations this weekend as crews work to prepare the MBTA rails for winter.

Shuttles will be used between the JFK/UMass and North Quincy stations on Saturday and Sunday as a part of the Winter Resiliency Improvement Program.

Regular train service will resume Monday at the start of service.

The buses will also be used the weekends of Aug. 29 and Sept. 12 as the project continues.

Visit the MBTA website for service updates.
