Boston Relaunches Gun Buyback Program
BOSTON (AP) — The city of Boston has relaunched its gun buyback program following a recent spate of gun violence and revelations that just one firearm had been turned in this year.
More than 400 guns were turned in last year.
Officials say the gun buyback program never officially ended, but the number of weapons turned in slowed down because publicity for the "Your Piece for Peace" program ceased.

People who turn in handguns will get a $200 Visa gift card.
Police Commissioner William Evans said getting just one gun off the streets could mean one less homicide.
Six people were shot, three fatally, in two separate shootings last week.
There have been 20 homicides in the city this year, but the number of non-fatal shootings is up.
