Keller @ Large: Donald Trump Apparently Doesn't Like Massachusetts

BOSTON (CBS) - Donald Trump is back in New Hampshire Wednesday night, not far from the Massachusetts border. That might be awkward for the Insulter-in-Chief who seems to have a special fondness for picking on people from Massachusetts.

As James Pindell notes in the Boston Globe, he has called Secretary of State John Kerry "incompetent," referred to Sen. Elizabeth Warren's "Indian upbringing," and when he isn't calling Boston Mayor Marty Walsh a "clown," he's telling Bostonians to "get a real mayor."

I don't know if Trump ever traded jabs with the late, great Tom Menino, but if he did I bet it wasn't flattering. On either side.

In the spirit of bipartisanship, Trump has also derided former Gov. Mitt Romney and current Gov. Charlie Baker, both total losers in his eyes.

And he doesn't stop with politicians. Trump made a crack about Cambridge native Ben Affleck's marital problems, something along the lines of how hiring an attractive young nanny carries "an extra level of risk."

All of these comments are very classy, as is everything Mr. Trump does.

But I can't imagine that he stops with living Bay Staters.

I bet if we dig deep enough we will find Trump making fun of Paul Revere, perhaps comparing his wife's looks to those of his horse. The great painter Norman Rockwell? "Boring," I'm sure Trump has said of him. "Why doesn't he paint something attractive and interesting, like me?"

Back in the world of the living, I bet Trump backed Tonya Harding over Nancy Kerrigan. His style is more like Tonya's.

But we shouldn't get too upset over Trump's taste and judgement.

We know it's horrible.

After all, he's a Yankee fan.
