Police Free Owl Stuck In Weston Soccer Net

WESTON (CBS) – Police in Weston responded to an "unusual" call Tuesday morning about an owl trapped in a soccer net.

Authorities believe the owl might have been diving to catch a mouse when it became "seriously entangled" in the netting at Meadowbrook Day Camp.

Massachusetts Environmental Police helped to carefully cut the netting away from the owl and set it free.

"Not something you see every day and pretty amazing," Weston police wrote on Facebook.
