Medford Police Arrest 2 After Seizing Heroin, $40k Cash

MEDFORD (CBS) – Two men were arrested after Medford police seized more than $40,000, an illegal gun and 50 grams of heroin.

Michael Puntonio, 45, of Medford, and Alexis Delvalle, 46, of Chelsea, were allegedly seen making a drug deal.

As a result, police received an executed a search warrant for Puntonio's Mayberry Ave. apartment.

Inside, police found a large amount of cash and drugs in addition to an illegal .32-caliber handgun.

Puntonio was arrested and charged with subsequent offense of possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession of a firearm without an FID card, unlawful possession of ammunition, conspiracy to violate drug laws and trafficking heroin.

Delvalle was charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Both men are scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Somerville District Court.
