NightSide - 100 Years After The Armenian Holocaust

BOSTON (CBS) - In 1915, the Ottoman Empire declared its Armenian citizens enemies of the state, and murdered as many as 1.5 million men, women and children. The massacre is considered the first genocide of the twentieth century, though there remains today some resistance to an accurate record of this dark chapter in history. Rachel Kaprielian and Dikran Kaligian join Dan in studio to reflect on the 100th anniversary of this tragic event, and to also talk about the positive influences of Armenian culture.

Originally broadcast April 20th, 2015.
