Firefighters Rescue Horse Stuck In Swansea

SWANSEA (CBS) -- Firefighters came to the rescue of a horse in Swansea Sunday morning.

Crews were called to a barn on Cummings Road, where they found a 1,100-pound horse stuck between a stall and a wall.

A veterinarian was called to the scene to sedate the horse while firefighters stabilized the barn's structure before beginning the rescue.

It took 25 firefighters and several pieces of equipment, but the horse was removed safely.
