Water Main Break In Brookline Causes Delays On Green Line
BROOKLINE (CBS) - A water main break caused severe delays on the Green Line D branch during the evening commute Friday.
The pipe burst on the Cypress Street Bridge over the D Line tracks at about 5:30 p.m.

Motor vehicle traffic was detoured and the T was stopped in the area.
Shuttle buses replaced Green Line service between Kenmore and Reservoir stations while the pipe was being fixed.
Green Line service returned to normal after about an hour.
John Siemiatkozki gave up waiting at the Brookline Hills stop and wasn't betting on the shuttle buses.
"I am going to walk two miles," Siemiatkozki said.
The water appeared to collect in the basement of a nearby home. Firefighters used a pump to try and clear out the water, which was knee deep.
Brookline Fire said a valve on a 12 inch main broke. They did not know if it was related to a similar water main break on St. Patrick's Day that caused more extensive flooding.
The T inspected the track to make sure it was safe.
