Zolak & Bertrand: Are You Believing The Hype On Mookie Betts?

BOSTON (CBS) - Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts is tearing it up in spring training.

In 11 games, Betts is 16-for-34 (.471) with nine extra-base hits and nine runs scored, which, barring injury, all but solidifies him as the the Opening Day starter in center field.

After Jackie Bradley Jr.'s spring-training-for-the-ages in 2013, Sox fans have vowed not to be fooled by great performances in February and March.

But on the surface, Mookie Betts seems different because he has proven he can hit in live major league action.

In 213 plate appearances in 2014, Betts hit for a .291 average and an .812 OPS, including five home runs and seven stolen bases.

Are you believing the hype on Mookie Betts? 98.5 The Sports Hub's Zolak & Bertrand debated this topic Monday morning.
