Cambridge Police Search For Man Who Fired At Officer

CAMBRIDGE (CBS) - Cambridge police are looking for a man who shot at a police officer overnight.

Officers were called to a home under construction at Fifth and Gore Streets just after midnight for a breaking and entering report.

Police found a suspect who then ran away.

During the chase, investigators said in a statement that the man "fired at least one shot at the officer, who immediately took cover and returned fire at the suspect."

The officer was not hit and police said it appears the gunman wasn't hurt either.
