Snow Forces Cancellation Of Tsarnaev Jury Selection Again

BOSTON (AP) — Jury selection in the federal trial of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been canceled for Tuesday because of a snowstorm that dumped a foot of snow across much of Massachusetts.

The 21-year-old Tsarnaev is accused in the 2013 attack, which killed three people and injured more than 260. He could face the death penalty if convicted.

Judge George O'Toole Jr. has questioned 114 prospective jurors over nine days. He hasn't said how many of those people have been excused.

Jury selection was canceled Monday because of the storm, which was expected to continue into the night.

Tsarnaev's lawyers have repeatedly argued that the trial should be moved from Massachusetts because many residents already believe he is guilty and many have personal connections to the bombings.
