Super Bowl Blog: Roger Goodell To Face The Media

PHOENIX (CBS) -- Good morning from an uncharacteristically rainy Arizona. Though the weather is lousy (did you know it rained in the desert?), we can all wake up happier today knowing that the football game is just two days away. Thank goodness.

To be sure, the access to the players this week has been great, and I think tons of great stories, info and tidbits have come out over the past few days. But at a certain point, enough is enough, and it's time to get excited for football.

We are much closer to that now, but there remains two big media events today.

Bill Belichick and Pete Carroll will hold a joint press conference at 8:30 a.m. local time (10:30 a.m. ET). Here's what to expect:

They will pose for some photos with helmets and the Lombardi Trophy.

They will say really, really nice things about each other.

They will shake hands and head their separate ways.

Once Bill and Pete are done, we can all get excited for the big event: Roger Goodell's press conference.

This wasn't exactly a banner year for the commish, but he will nevertheless answer questions from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. local time. The session ought to provide some interesting notes, whether that be about Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson, or these deflated footballs, Roger's going to face some questions that can't make him very happy.

Check back early and often on our Patriots page, and be sure to check out our Radio Row page for all the interviews from The Sports Hub this week.
