MBTA: Man Pulls Fire Alarm To Speak With Employee

BOSTON (CBS) – A Sandwich man will be summonsed to court after police said he pulled a fire alarm so he could find an MBTA employee to speak with.

Transit Police said that at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday night officers received a radio call to respond to Downtown Crossing where a fire alarm was sounding.

After crews responded to the scene, they found John Herbaugh, 36, of Sandwich, who they said pulled the alarm.

Herbaugh told police he pulled the alarm because he wanted to speak with an MBTA employee.

Transit Police said Herbaugh will be summonsed to Boston Municipal Court Central Division for false fire alarm and disorderly conduct.
