Breer: Ravens Won't Let Rob Gronkowski Beat Them

BOSTON (CBS) - 98.5 The Sports Hub's Andy Gresh and Scott Zolak were joined by the NFL Network's Albert Breer down at CBS Scene on Wednesday afternoon.

New England and Baltimore are no strangers to one another -- especially in the postseason -- but Breer helped break down the matchups and pointed out what he thinks to be a key element.

"There ain't no Ed Reed on the back end of that defense," Gresh said of the Ravens. "Ladarius Webb is good, but I think their corners overall are pretty average."

"I look at the matchup, and to me, this is where we find out how good the Patriots receivers are; the guys they've gotten by with here in [Brandon] LaFell, and [Julian] Edelman. Those are the guys that are going to have to make the Ravens pay," said Breer.

He explained further: "We know Deen Pees was here. He knows what Rob Gronkowski is, he knows what Tom Brady is. I just don't think they're going to let Rob Gronkowski flat-out destroy them. The guys on the outside are going to have to make them pay. C.J. Mosley and maybe a safety can slow down Gronkowski a little bit, so LaFell and Edelman are going to have to make plays."

Dean Pees coached in New England from 2004-09 as a linebackers coach and later a defensive coordinator. He'll be coaching on the Black and Purple sideline this weekend.
