Belichick Shares Gronkowski's Kitten Photos During Patriots Team Meeting

BOSTON (CBS) -- Many moons ago, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady posed for a photo for GQ while holding a goat. His linemen never let him forget it, pasting the photo on their backs for Brady to see while taking a snap at practice.

Now, in the wake of superstar tight end Rob Gronkowski posing for an ESPN photo shoot with some cute and cuddly kittens, it's the head coach who is pulling the pranks.

"Bill brought it up this morning in team meeting and we had a couple chuckles about it," Darrelle Revis said. "It was pretty funny this morning. I guess Gronk has a soft side to his personality."

Brandon LaFell described the scene in the meeting room to ESPN as "pure laughter."

"He's a great guy. He's an animal, man," LaFell said, according to ESPN.com. "Whatever he does off the field, as long as it's nothing distracting to the team, I'm all for it. As long as he brings everything he's got every Sunday, I'm with him."

Gronkowski didn't offer much in terms of cat talk on Thursday.

"Aw, man," he said when asked about the kitten pictures. "I just gotta talk about the Dolphins today."

When pushed for more and even asked about Brady's goat picture, Gronkowski said, "I'm just worried about the Miami Dolphins right now, man."

Rob Ninkovich, likewise, didn't want to get into too many details of Gronkowski's kitten photos, though he said he probably would have chosen a different animal to pose with.

"I love kittens, but they have sharp nails, so I'm not messing with them," Ninkovich said. "They start digging into your chest. I'm more of a puppy guy. Kittens ... shows his lighter side."

Woof. Sounds like things are getting real ruff in the Patriots locker room.
