Police Officer Takes Lost Goats For A Stroll In Ashby

ASHBY (CBS) -- An Ashby police officer made some new friends while walking the beat overnight.

"What do we do on the midnight shift when we're bored?" police wrote on the department's Facebook page Wednesday. "Patrolman Vautour likes to walk goats in the rain."

It's not clear how the two goats got loose, and their owners have not yet been found. A Good Samaraitan is keeping the goats at their home in the meantime.

"Only in Ashby can police officers go from assisting on a medical call to wrangling goats on Main Street," police said.

Anyone missing two goats is asked to call police at 978-386-5652.
