Man With Loaded Gun Charged In Hyannis Bar Altercation
HYANNIS (CBS) -- A West Yarmouth man was arrested early Sunday morning after police say he pointed a loaded gun at a woman and security guard in a bar.
Police responded to Embargo at Main Street in Hyannis at 12:45 a.m. for a report of a bar altercation involving a gun held in a threatening manner. Officers said they found a man on the patio area arguing with security personnel.
Christopher Desimone, 44, was arrested and charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon and carrying a loaded firearm while under the influence of alcohol, among other charges.
Police said Desimone was involved in an altercation with a woman and pointed a loaded .380 Walther PPK/S pistol at her. After he was escorted outside by security, police say he drew the pistol again, pointed it at a security officer, and "threatened to assassinate him."
Desimone is being held on $1,000 cash bail and is set to be arraigned in Barnstable District Court on Monday.
