Tom Brady Named AFC Offensive Player Of The Month For October

BOSTON (CBS) -- Tom Brady didn't throw an interception in October, and has some new hardware to show for it.

Brady has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month for October, the seventh time the Patriots quarterback has earned an AFC Player of the Month honor and first since 2011.

Brady led the Patriots to a 4-0 record in October, and saw his offense go from being ranked 29th in the NFL to 10th. He completed 100 of his 144 passes for 1,268 yards with 14 touchdowns while throwing no interceptions, and finished the month with a quarterback rating of 129.1.

Brady's 14 touchdowns were tied for first with Peyton Manning during October, and he was the only starting quarterback to not throw an interception during the month. He had a pair of 300-yard games, in Buffalo and against the Bears, and threw two or more touchdowns in all four wins. He finished the month with a five touchdown game against the Bears in New England's 51-23 victory, going 30-of-35 for 354 yards.

For the season Brady has 2,059 passing yards and 18 touchdowns in 2014 and is on pace to finished with 4,118 passing yards and 36 touchdowns.
