Lasell College Investigating Campus Sexual Assault
NEWTON (CBS) -- Police and college officials are investigating a reported sexual assault on Lasell College's campus.
Authorities said the assault reportedly took place on Saturday night near the college's Bancroft House or the Van Winkle Quad at Woodland and Studio Roads.
"Lasell College has credible information that a sexual assault occurred on our campus the evening of October 18," the school said in a statement. "At this time, we have no complainant, but in an abundance of caution we felt it was important to alert our community to the potential danger."
The college is urging students to use the campus shuttle system and escort service provided by police.
