BOSTON (AP) — Two Boston men have been convicted in the slaying of a pizza deliveryman they lured to a vacant home, then stabbed him 16 times and robbed him.

Alexander Gallett and Michel St. Jean were found guilty of first-degree murder by a Suffolk Superior Court jury Tuesday during its second day of deliberations.

Gallett's attorney had acknowledged that Gallett killed 58-year-old Richel Nova, but said he should be convicted only of second-degree murder because the killing was not planned.

St. Jean's attorney said there was no evidence linking his client to the killing.

Prosecutors said the men lured Nova to the house in September 2010, stabbed him repeatedly, then stole the pizza order and about $100 in cash before fleeing in Nova's car.

A third defendant who was 17 at the time of the slaying pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
