Tyngsboro Man Charged With Drunken Boating After Lake Winnisquam Crash

LACONIA, N.H. (CBS) – A Tyngsboro, Mass., man faces charges after allegedly crashing his boat into a tree on the shore of Lake Winnisquam while drunk.

New Hampshire state police said Richard Degregory, 51, of Tyngsboro hit the tree while going 20 mph on the lake in Laconia about 11:30 Saturday night.

Degregory and his two adult passengers suffered minor injuries but refused medical treatment, police said.

There was heavy damage to the boat.

Degregory was arrested and charged with boating while intoxicated, police said.
