BOSTON (CBS) — During the week, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves all but made it official: Kevin Love will be traded to Cleveland, once the NBA allows the move on Aug. 23.

Where does that leave the Celtics? That’s where Adam Kaufman picked up the pieces on Saturday’s edition of “Celtics @ 7″ on 98.5 The Sports Hub.

Unfortunately for Rajon Rondo, it appears the Celts would be best suited trading their captain in an effort to gain more assets and hopefully a young, talented player.

Comcast SportsNet New England’s A. Sherrod Blakely joined the program for the second segment and suggested the likes of Eric Bledsoe and Greg Monroe as potential trade targets in exchange for the point guard, but he also believes they will likely return to the Suns and Pistons, respectively.

What’s next is a minor mystery. Could the C’s contend for a playoff spot in a deeper Eastern Conference if they stayed mostly intact, or will Boston sell off pieces on the way to a second straight year in the lottery? And, can anyone in the East beat the new-look Cavs?
