Dorchester Sex Offender Accused Of Raping 10-Year-Old Girl

BOSTON (CBS/AP) – A sex offender with a lengthy criminal record was arraigned on new charges accusing him of raping a relative's 10-year-old daughter while taking her to a summer youth program.

Erroll Foreman, 49, of Dorchester section was arraigned Tuesday in Dorchester District Court on charges including child rape and indecent assault and battery on a child under 14. A judge has revoked his bail.

A report by Boston police says Foreman picked up the girl at her home Thursday morning to drive her to the youth program and raped her on the way. The girl told authorities that Foreman assaulted her and threatened to kill her and her family if she told anyone.

Foreman has a lengthy criminal record including a 1986 child rape conviction.

He was held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on Thursday.
