Waltham Youth Baseball Teams Win Three Championships

WALTHAM (CBS) - Waltham Youth Baseball's Cubs teams took home the season championship in all three age divisions. Each team won their championship in the final game of the playoffs.

The Minor Cubs, ages 7-9, finished the season with a 12-2 record. The Major Cubs, ages 9-10, finished the season 12-0-2. The Senior Cubs, ages 11-12, finished the season 7-2-3.

The teams included a set of brothers, Tim Bjork, Senior Cubs, and Tim Sandin, Major Cubs. There were also two girls on Minor Cubs team, Lexi Salguero an Ella Thibodeau.

Bill Hanley, President of the Waltham Youth Baseball League, said it was a very competitive year.
