Californian Takes Sand Sculpting Title At Revere Beach Festival
REVERE (CBS) – A California competitor was crowned king of the sand castles Sunday at Revere Beach.
Rusty Croft of Carmel, Calif., took the championship title at the 2014 Revere Beach National Sand Sculpting Festival.
The festival took place over three days and featured 15 of the world's best sand sculptors.
Croft ended the three-year reign of Jonathan Bouchard (Jobi) of Montreal who placed second this year.
Organizers report that upward of 500,000 people attended the three-day event at Revere Beach.
