BOSTON (CBS) – You never know what will happen on live television.

During the broadcast Thursday night of the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular, WBZ-TV’s Kate Merrill got quite a surprise.

Petty officer first class Jason Thompson of Detroit re-enacted this famous photo from Times Square at the end of World War II.
