Police Seek Help Identifying Woman's Body Found On Quincy Shore

QUINCY (CBS) - Authorities are asking for the public's help identifying a woman whose body was found in the water off Sea Street in Quincy on Sunday morning. A passerby spotted the body at the water's edge.

Police say the remains are those of an adult black woman. She was wearing a silver necklace and had a yellow "Livestrong" wrist band on her left wrist.

She also has the word "Forever" tattooed in cursive, along with three initials in stylized script on her right wrist. The initials could not be easily discerned.

The woman was wearing a black bathing suit and a black terry cloth cover over the suit.

Quincy and State Police say it's possible she entered the water somewhere else.

At this point, they say there are no obvious indications of foul play.

Anyone with information about the woman's identity is asked to call State Police at 508-820-2121.
