Teen Injured In 30-Foot Fall From Walpole School Roof; Will Face Trespassing Charges

WALPOLE (CBS) - A teenager was rushed to Boston Medical Center at around midnight on Friday after falling 30 feet off the roof of the Fisher School, according to Walpole Police Deputy Chief John Carmichael.

Officers responded to the scene after receiving 911 calls about the incident and found seven teenage boys, including the victim. The victim, who was not identified, had sustained head and face injuries as well as two broken elbows.

His injuries were not believed to be life threatening.

Police believe the teen scaled the chain-link fence around the school and climbed a vent pipe to access the roof. The victim's friends think he may not have seen the edge of the roof due to the darkness.

Officials anticipate filing trespassing charges against all seven teenagers in connection with the incident.

Police typically do not have problem in the area of the school. There are no surveillance cameras in the area, but officers frequently patrol it at night.
