Daily Talker: Source: Story Of 3-Year-Old Being Tossed From KFC "Didn't Happen"

The story of a disfigured 3-year-old girl being asked to leave a KFC in Jackson, Mississippi may have all been a hoax.

Victoria Wilcher's face is badly scarred after three pit bulls attacked her. Her story went viral last week, after the child's grandmother claimed a restaurant employee said Victoria's face was scaring other customers.

Since then, more than $135,000 has been given to the family through an online donation site. KFC pledged $30,000 towards Victoria's doctors bills when it began investigating the claim.

According to a source who spoke to the Laurel Leader-Call newspaper, a review of surveillance video found no evidence of Victoria and her grandmother visiting the location where the alleged incident took place, nor another KFC restaurant in Jackson. The source also said a review of transactions found no orders that matched the one the grandmother described.

"It just didn't happen," the source told the newspaper.

The newspaper was not able to reach the family for comment.
