LONGMEADOW (CBS) – On this Phantom Gourmet segment, Dan Andelman finds some creative burgers with maximum flavor.

If you like your burgers taken to the max, then you’re going to love Max Burger.

With locations in Longmeadow, Mass. and West Hartford, Connecticut, Max Burger is THE spot for over-the-top burgers, out-of-the-box appetizers and out-of-control shakes.

“Most of the time people are like, ‘What’s that? I want that.'”

Executive Chef Dave Sudol runs the kitchen where all-natural Angus beef patties fill the flat top.

“Burgers in and out constantly… The grill will fill up 30 burgers at a time… fries all over the place… It’s organized chaos.”

And as food flies out to the dining room, General Manager Tim Taillefer says the best way to enjoy it all, is to just dive on in.

“Hands are the way to go. Undo the sleeves, roll them up, and just get in there.”

And whether you go for a classic burger with lettuce and tomato or a serious stack sandwiched between a pair of grilled cheese, the goal at Max Burger is always to please.

“Seeing a guest bite into a burger and just smile and give the thumbs up, that’s what it’s all about for us.”
